I've worked with all manner of organizations, from small software companies to Fortune 500 retailers, and what I do best is drive effective change through education. The world is changing constantly; if you're standing still, you're losing the race.
My professional journey is defined by a track record of creating and delivering highly efficient and innovative training and education solutions for diverse audiences in ways that demonstrate real value to organizations through learner retention, satisfaction, and knowledge. I believe that the purpose of education should be to engage, energize, and excite.
At AutoNation, I manage a team of instructional designers in the full-cycle of design, development, and deployment of eLearning modules within the requirements laid out by various business partners in the areas of automotive finance, dealership operations, and transactional accounting. Included in the daily management of these objectives, I rely heavily on my proficiency in adult learning theory, needs assessment, program evaluation, project management, and talent management, as well as software programs/suites such as Articulate Storyline/Storyline 2, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Audition), Audacity, and Microsoft Office products.
At TCC, my primary focus was on faculty development and student success through exceptional course design and delivery. Course development consultations with faculty, curriculum development, needs analyses, creation of instructional content (preferably interactive, as is my style), live training, and general innovative happenings made up the core of the tools used and tasks undertaken in this venture. In addition to the daily management of faculty consultations and associated course development efforts, I led several projects and special initiatives including the redesign of the learning portal and LMS.
At AutoStar, I championed an initiative to establish, build, and manage a new corporate training entity within the organization. This was accomplished by creating an initial corporate training department plan, redeveloping documentation for software products and internal/external client audiences, coordinating the training presentations for the annual corporate user conference, developing sychronous and asynchronous eLearning content, and developing/delivering client training both in house and at customer locations.
My research and thesis focused on stratification and innovation in the public K-12 system, with particular attention paid to charter schools.
I'm always excited to talk about new projects and opportunities, so if you feel inclined, drop me a line...
